PuHousing was a reimagined (albeit satirical) university student housing portal. As a small group project for an introduction to web technologies class, I championed major aspects of the project, including the majority of the wireframes, design language, and code while leading and teaching my groupmates. I designed and developed the interface from scratch and implemented the underlying functionality, database, and server-side logic. While created primarily as a technical and creative project, it gave me hands-on experience taking a web product from concept to a fully functional implementation. From component systems to high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, I built the server with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with help from inline AI code autocomplete, GitHub Copilot. I hosted the website on a live LAMP web server.
Even though PuHousing was not a product of the formal design process, it helped me strengthen my skills in wireframing and gave me a valuable background in web development.
Due to server costs, the live site is no longer available. You can view the code on GitHub or look at high-fidelity wireframes, which I implemented directly with Figma Dev mode.
